Review: From Bad to Cursed by Lana Harper

This is a fun world to visit.  From Bad to Cursed by Lana Harper Released May 2022 Source: Library Borrow Goodreads  | Amazon Opposites attract in this wickedly charming rom-com by Lana Harper, author of Payback’s a Witch. Wild child Isidora Avramov is a thrill chaser, adept demon summoner, and—despite the whole sexy-evil-sorceress vibe—also a cuddly animal lover. When she’s not designing costumes and new storylines for the Arcane Emporium’s haunted house, Issa's nursing a secret, conflicted dream of ditching her family’s witchy business to become an indie fashion designer in her own right. But when someone starts sabotaging the celebrations leading up to this year’s Beltane festival with dark, dangerous magic, a member of the rival Thorn family gets badly hurt—throwing immediate suspicion on the Avramovs. To clear the Avramov name and step up for her family when they need her the most, Issa agrees to serve as a co-investigator, helping none other than Rowan Thorn get to the botto

Review: Three Days in the Pink Tower by EV Knight

This is such a painful and powerful read. Three Days In The Pink Tower Released July 2022 Source: Received for Review Consideration Dark Fiction  |   Goodreads   | Amazon Josey Claypool begins the summer before her senior year at a carnival, where a fortune teller with milky-white eyes gives her a foreboding tarot reading. She’s spooked, but nothing could prepare her for the following day when two strange men show up at her front door. Josey is kidnapped at gunpoint and brought to a pink cabin in the woods where she is held prisoner. In her darkest moment, the fortune teller appears and gives her a deck of tarot cards, which she must cast and interpret in a fight for her life. In this work of speculative autofiction, award-winning author EV Knight reclaims the narrative of her own past in an exploration of trauma, agency, and survival.  My 2 Cents for Free! Several reviewers have already said this book is not an easy one to read (or review) and they’re not exaggerating. The author has

What I Read in November • 2022

How is it monthly wrap-up time already?! Anyhow, here's what November looked like. It's not too shabby with five five-star reads! I think it's helped that I've been giving myself room to breathe and catch up on some things I've been wanting to read for fun instead of putting all of my focus on books that come in for review. I might not make the release date for some of the arc's but did I ever? 😀 All I know is that I'm definitely a much happier reader now that I've taken the pressure off myself. I'll eventually get all of the reviews up over here but for now I linked up the rating to the Goodreads review. If you want to learn more about any of the books just give the book a click.  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐ I hope you're reading lots of good stuff!
