  1. Oh my with series that don't know when to quit. Those Stephanie Plum books are like too many books over their expiration. I loved them in the beginning but gave up after book 20! Rude/insulting and terrible writing are big turn offs for me too. Great list!!

  2. Fully agree with you on cheaters, asshole heroes and dreadful MCs. I'm not a fan of MCs who are racist, bigoted or are just complete tossers or bitches. I tend to DNF books like that. Enjoyed your list!

  3. I can't believe I forgot to add cheaters - I hate them in books AND in real life. I also think Asshole heroes are awful and tend to stay away from them. My main ones were love triangles and animal abuse. I don't mind SOME longer series, like Charlaine Harris's Sookie Series - probably because the books weren't terribly long and I enjoyed them but super drawn out ones need to go - I'm talking to you Hamilton and Kenyon!

  4. Great list! I agree with you on all of those. I also get irritated with "instalove", stupid heroines and love triangles. :)

  5. Asshole heroes lol. Love that! I'm not super fond of jerk characters either. Obnoxious MC's too! And just say no to the series that never end.

  6. Ugh, don't even get me started on partial books. I can deal with a cliffhanger IF the story arc of the book has been completed but then it leads into the next book. What really gets on my nerves is those half books where the characters don't even get to the climax or complete/fail their goal or whatever!

  7. I feel ya about all of these. Asshole heroes is at the top of mine, along with never ending series.

  8. I don't mind cheating when it fits the story. I like that kind of angst and heartache at times. Oh man, I remember reading 100 Strokes, but don't remember much about the story. Damn, that ones lie a blast from the past.lol.

  9. Great list! I know I read that VC Andrews book back in the day but don't remember anything about it. I have had to dnf a book just because I thought it was gross before though.
