February in Review:

♦ I read 3 Short Horror Collections which was 2 too many, if you ask me. It threw me into a mini-slump ♦ 2 Horror Novels ♦ 1 Monster-porn ♦ 1 Scifi Erotica

♦ I'm on track for my Goodreads Challenge but I feel like I didn't read very much. I blame the tv and stress.

♦ Only three were audiobooks so I'm doing better than last month where all but one were audiobooks (ugh so much slacking was done in January).

♦ I continue to be a failure at DNFing. The only thing I skimmed/DNF'd were two short stories in Five Stories High because they weren't meant for me.

This month I'm going a little heavier on the romance because January & February were horrorific. Have you read any of 'em?

  1. I had a mad month for DNFing! I think I only completed two ebooks in the last two weeks! It sounds like you've had a bit of a struggle last month...I hope you get some better books this time!

    1. It was a wee bit disappointing but only because I wrongly assumed it was set in the same world as The Girl with all the Gifts. I am such a dunce :(

  3. Not bad! Those collections can be really hard to do with multiple in a row.

The Enchanted Lover's Woodman looks fun!

  4. Death Before Decaf looks cute and Little Dead Red is pretty interesting as well. Short story collections can either break or make you. I read one this month and it was really short itself or I probably would not have gotten to it. I keep meaning to read some Hap and Leonard but haven't yet. I didn't even watch the series. Mr. Barb was flipping one night and ran across it. I told him that was Hap and Leonard and he was like "How do you know these things....let me guess, it's a book right?" He knows me too well.

  6. Reading slumps are the worst. I can't do too many short story collections. Sorry these slowed down your reading progress. I have a hard time DNFing. I will do it but probably not as much as I should. Have a great March!

    1. Thanks, Carole. Fortunately, the slump was only a mini one brought on by too many similar type collections. I switched up genres and am back on track.

  7. If it makes you feel any better, I'm also a failure at DNFing lol.

That cover for Can't Touch is interesting, haha. Enjoy your March TBR books!

    1. Glad I'm not the only bad DNFer. I always feel like I'm missing something awesome. It rarely works out in my favor when I stick to it though.

Yeah, my kids had a nice laugh when that one arrived in the mail ;)
