Spring Horror Wrap Up

You may have noticed that I fed myself a steady diet of horror fiction in April. That's mostly because I love horror fiction but also because I signed up for Seasons of Reading Spring Horror Challenge. I managed to almost finish eight books which is a miracle for me! I may have to do this more often :)

The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor 3.5 stars
Cat Call by Steve Vernon 5 Stars
The Strain by Guillermo del Toro & Chuck Hogan 3 Stars
Afterage by Yvonne Navarro 4 Stars
Ararat by Christopher Golden 4 Stars
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde DNF
Everything That's Underneath by Kristi DeMeester 4 Stars
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness 5 Stars

  1. You did great! I really enjoyed this readathon and am thinking of doing the 2 week science fiction one in June. I like ones that don't have many rules!

  3. I've read some of these too. Great list. You know we don't need a challenge to devour horror books. LOL

  5. oh how interesting to see A Monster Calls categorized as horror! That book undid me completely. I loved it too! Gave it a 5-star too! but I still shudder when I think about it. I don;t think I will never be able to reread it. Too close to home!

    1. It's not true horror but has the monster element so I squeezed it in ;) It was a rough one to read and is definitely not one I'll be revisiting.
