TTT: My Reluctant Bookish Resolutions & Goals

Hello my bookish friends! Top Ten Tuesday has a new host so be sure to link up over at T hat Artsy Reader Girl . The creators over at  The Broke and the Bookish are closing their doors for now. I'm going to try to be a semi-consistent contributor. But as always, I make no promises. Today's topic is  Top Ten Bookish Resolutions/Goals. I visited Netgalley to post an overdue review and suddenly ended up requesting 10 more. Ugh. I think I've learned my lesson once and for all. This was a pretty good vampire novel. My 2 Cents for Free! So Thirsty by Rachel Harrison Released September 2024 Source: Audible Purchase See more @ Goodreads This was a readable, reasonably entertaining vampire novel. There are some funny moments and a few irritating ones but I think maybe I've read too many angsty vampire novels at this point in my life because much of the horror bits felt familiar which is fine. Not every book has to be earth shattering and boundary breaking. It's a good book to fall into if you want help forgetting the world for a little bit. Sloan is absolutely dreading her birthday. She's turning 36 or 37 or somewhere around there (sorry, I didn't write it down) anyhow she's NOT OLD but she doesn't care to celebrate another year of her eyelids drooping and her hands turning from youthful to "witchy". What I Learned While On A Blogging Break

Hey all, I am back from my vacation and I read ZERO books. I know, I know. I completely unplugged and checked out but doing this refreshed me and I am ready to read through my entire TBR pile so I can start buying new books again without feeling the guilt. Hey, it could happen. Okay, maybe not . . . While away I had a little time to ponder a few things. I Have Realized I Do NOT Do Well Blogging Ahead Nope. It is not for me. I had 15 posts scheduled a week or so before I went missing and had hoped to stay that way but I CURSED myself, as I usually do, by being all industrious and organized. Instead of staying ahead I frittered away my time doing other things and used up all of my reserved posts in record time before I had realized it was even happening! I am going to continue to wing my way through blogging. I hope you don't mind. The rest of my life is pretty scheduled with workouts, budgets, menus, work . . .
