Here's some spooky recs for a blah Monday!

Hi everyone! I hope you're all reading some great stuff and that we've all been able to banish the slump once and for all. I haven't done so great with my September pile but I'm trying. If you need some spooky in your life, I'm currently reading these two and they are fantastic! Reviews coming soon. I'm serious this time, lol.

Someone to Share My Nightmares by Sonora Taylor

A band of bloodthirsty sea creatures terrorize a scientist and a journalist trapped in a Carolina cove. The seduction of a plumber making a house call becomes a nightmarish haunting for both parties. A woman transformed for her lover has second thoughts about just how good “together forever” can be. And the one man a woman wants for Christmas is the holiday demon sent to punish the wicked.

"Someone to Share My Nightmares" is a tapestry of horrors interwoven with sensuality. Can our deepest fears be vanquished when they’re shared with someone else? Or is the danger doubled when two people come together?

The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward

This is the story of a serial killer. A stolen child. Revenge. Death. And an ordinary house at the end of an ordinary street.

All these things are true. And yet they are all lies...

You think you know what's inside the last house on Needless Street. You think you've read this story before. That's where you're wrong.

In the dark forest at the end of Needless Street, lies something buried. But it's not what you think...

  1. It is that time of year when I start looking for some spooky reads! My library has several copies of the Catriona Ward novel on order, so hopefully I can get one.

  2. I have a Sonora Taylor lined up to read (a different one, but she's always appropriate for Halloween season), and I have already read The Last House on Needless Street and LOVED it!
